No prob dude! :-) I have seen the video. Its supposed to be a pretty good game. Did you ever play Battlefield 2? That was a fun game, I like all the different roles you can play in the game. The selection of vehicles is pretty cool. I imagine it will be a big success as long as they don't do anything funky with the PC version. The game is supposed to be out in March I think.

I might have tried Battlefield 1942.My old PC was so slow I shyed away from games that were online.I'd just get destroyed and after awhile it's not too fun.
I also am looking forward to something new.MW2 and the hacking,ahh...geez it's getting so old!Why do it?They have to win or really suck?I wonder? What will Treyarch do with COD7 Vietnam???How many good weapons were available during that era?I imagine alot of the Japanese style maps from COD5 will be how they do the jungle scenes.Nothing worse than getting blasted by hacker through foliage, can't see a thing!Hope it is a good game.

The amount of hacking and lag in MW2 is the main reason why I haven't thrown away my $60 on it. I read the IW forums a lot and its just constant complaining about the lag and hackers in the game. I suspect that unless IW does something to shore these issues up, in particular the hacking, the PC scene will disappear quickly on that game. Nothing drives people away from a game faster than hackers. I bet IW is wishing that they should have just stuck with dedicated servers and let the hosting companies and PB deal with the rest.

Is COD7 going to be based on Vietnam? If so, that could turn out to be really interesting. As much jungle fighting as there was, there was also a fair amount of urban combat, in particular in the Battle of Hue in 1968 which was a really long and bloody battle won by the Marines and some ARVN (south Vietnamese) troops. There was also a lot of urban fighting when Siagon fell. If Treyarch does its research on the war, then I presume that they will incorpate some urban maps in there. I imagine maps in the style of Makin_Day Banzai, and stuff like that will make up the bulk of the maps.

As for weapons, they should have the M16, M14, M60 and .50 machine guns, AK-47, perhaps the M1, some sniper rifles, and probably some bolt action rifles. They may throw in some other stuff too. The special forces used some stuff, foreign, so maybe some of that.
