New RCON Tool (ProCon) Empty New RCON Tool (ProCon)

Post by Antares Thu Apr 08, 2010 9:17 pm

The servers were just updated to the latest server version R9 which is supposed to address some things, hopefully the server crashing issues. The RCON tools I have been using and recommended here don't currently work with R9, however they will soon. Right now ProCon is the only one I can get working that will support R9. Without it, we have no control over the servers.

Besides, I think that this ProCon tool is a better one. http://phogue.net/?page_id=389 For the host, enter the server IP as well as port information that you've had. For UserName, you'll need to add this, 694743. The password is the RCON password.

We still have to reset the servers settings, i.e. hardcore if the server gets restarted. It appears that we can adjust the maps more in the cycle, and designate a map that we would like to play next. You need to select and add it to the next map to be played. Remember that there are two maps, so if you're on round 1 of the map and have designated another map as the next one, it will still need to play round 2 of the existing map. Least thats what I can tell.

    Downloading procon now.

I prefer BC2CC at the moment, just cause I can throw it up on the other monitor to my left and monitor the whole server at a glance. The Guardian program doesn't seem to be so graphically user friendly.

The thing I like about Guardian is its versatility. You can do anything in that tool man...

Shall report on Procon when I have checked it out.
