Threads

i think it might be cool to move "dead" threads to at least a "dead threads" section, or just delete them. Keeping all the threads in their respective places might get a little cluttered. just a suggestion

As the forum grows and gets more and more threads the threads in each particular section will stay there and start moving onto page 1 and 2 and 3 and so on. When someone posts on a thread that thread is moved to the top of the first page. I think it might be handy to keep all the threads so we can go back over them if need be for anything. So as people keep posting the threads that are most active will be on the first page and newcomers and such can go back over them if they want to.

I mean we have a limit of 3 million threads or so. So we will not be running out of space any time soon, even if we were i could request a higher limit for our forum.

Some forums deal with dead or inactive threads by creating an 'Archive' forum. Dead or Inactive threads are usually moved to a subforum named such (usually Dead/Inactive) and those that are finished (or otherwise no longer needed but have served their purpose) are moved to a subforum called 'Done'. This entire forum is usually a read-only forum. Administrators and certain moderators (if given the power) can add and remove threads from these forums at will. Administrators can even post in these, because they also have the right to post on locked threads; of course, you can always distribute this power to whatever account group you wanted.

I say we keep the threads and they just stay the bottom of the pages and such. that way people can bring the thread back if they want/need to.

And if they do, we can yell at them and be all like...
