How do I hook up with anybody playing MW2.

What's up one and all? Haven't checked the forum in awhile.Got hooked playing Anno 1404.Don't ask me why?Lol.Started playing MW2.Yes it's chok full of hackers.I've found less annoying behavior on the Hardcore modes.I was wondering how us teamies can hook up for some private or at least team play matches? I'm not sure how many of us are playing MW2. I know a few clanmates picked up the game. I'm not one of them. After seeing the game for the first time on the PS3 the other day, I'm sort of glad I didn't buy it. I know it was on a console, but in all the graphics didn't really look that impressive, nor the game play. If they ever offer dedicated servers or drop the price on the game, I'll probably pick it up. However right now I can't justify spending $60 on this game from what I've seen of it so far. The graphics didn't really look much better than COD4.

Ant I think the graphics are pretty good especially the campaign games. as to the hacking while there hackers games are never hack proof. i just leave the game if they get too bad..look forward to seeing you on there

Didnt know you guys were playing together. I have the game (got it for x-mas from my sister) but have not loaded it on my system. There are ways to overcome the match making system by hosting the game ourselves. If this is where the clan has gawn than I'm going to load it and play with you guys (if you dont mind). I'm boared as hell.

I am playing MW2.....I find the game does faster than before.
I would love to able to play agaisnt the clan again. Private matches would work I guess, but hard to arrange with the time differences.
I do like most of the new maps included in the game.

guys just add us as friends in steam, when we are on you can simply click join game or send a msg to invite you. we can invite you or you can invite us to join games or host private matches. let us know your steam account names if we get moon, kreika and scuba that gives us at least 6

I'm going to give the BC2 PC demo a whirl once its available (supposed to be very soon) and will decide from there what I'm going to do. I've heard in the forums that there is a lot of hacking going on right now. Primarily aim/wall hacks. Also that there is a lot of connection problems to servers.

There is supposed to be a new addition of MOH coming out this Fall that will be modern warfare based. Aside from BC2, I guess thats our next hope for a good shooter.

I bought the orange box the other day (mainly for Team Fortress 2, but getting 2-3 other games in the bundle is cheaper then buying them alone). TF2 is win .
Sadly my net sucks and I still lagged whenever I play CoD4 on here.

I still play MW2 on shitbox (only with friends thought, I swear to god random people are so fucking stupid and are only worried about a good KD ratio then helping getting a cap in DOM or a bomb in DEMO), still stand by the fact that overall CoD4 is a much much better game then this. Though I am close to finishing the Intervention on MW2, already have the gold Emblem and silver skulls, just 400ish more headshots and it be done XD.

Game still fails in departments though, that patch that was to fix the models 87s, just slap on Bling pro and use the 87s with FMJ and akimbo, and what do you get? A dual wrist snapping shotgun that has a greater range then what it was pre patch. And do not get me started on that host mig bullshit......that thing is the biggest failure in this serious since broken M16s, broken AcogM40A3, Famas, SMGs in CoD5, Ninja pro not working 60% of the time in MW2, and other minor shit that the cash cow company will not fix for weeks or months maybe...

In random news and my wall of textz, CoD7 is in production atm, but no storyline nor what type of game it will be, will be following the rest of the series and being release in November.

Is COD7 going to be put out by Treyarch? If so, hopefully they won't follow IW's path of neglecting the PC community. Plus, it would be interesting to see if they can improve on the already outstanding graphics in W@W. That was one nice thing about the game. Great graphics and sounds (accept for the weapon sounds).

Yeah by Trey, graphics I don't care about, don't play game for looks (I still enjoy my nintendo and sega from my childhood ), if they don't do a shitty job with gun balance *coughMP40,otherSMGs,shotgunsbeingcompletelygimpcough*, then I'll play it, other then that, if its a piece of crap, then it has come.....Activision/IW/Trey only care about money.

For me, in order to keep my interest in gaming, technology needs to continuously improve. I've gotten spoiled with the COD5 graphics and sounds. If Treyarch can produce that level of quality, why can't other companies? Because of the bottom line cost? Gameplay needs to continue to improve across the board if they want to keep demanding $50-$60 for games these days.

Hey WCFS went to Disneyland with the kids.Woohoo,way to busy even in January!I'll try to add you guys on steam!I will say this I didn't like it at first but it does grow on you.They did create the ultimate hacking paradise that's for sure.Like I said in my post the hardcore seems to have less double shotgun aimbot fools.The graphics are better for sure.Played some COD5,old school looking!Way to late and beered,better go.

To buy MW2, or not to buy? Its a difficult choice for a few reasons. If the game wasn't $60 + tax, it'd be easier to toss that money away. I hear people say that the game is pretty fun and overall good. I also read boards that also say the same thing, but that there is also problems with disconnects, a lot of lag, just being able to connect to a server, being able to connect to a good server, and LOTS of hackers. There are also supposedly a lot of bugs in the game, in particular with some weapons. With BC2 being released in 60 days or so, I wonder if many of the MW2 PC players will migrate to that as soon as its released, and then MW2 PC will be pretty dead and I threw away $60.

I started up that COD5 HC server where everything is allowed, accept for people bitching. I must confess that its a breath of fresh air just being able to play and not having to worry about weapon/perk violators. The gameplay seems pretty good without the constant bitching between people about perk/weapon violations, camping, etc. Its also nice to be able to have a variety of weapons to choose from, screw around with the tanks, etc. Keeps things more interesting. Something tells me that it will keep my tied over until BC2. I think I need to get on Ventrilo and talk to a few of you about MW2 before making my final decision. Only problem with BC2 is the team based gameplay. I'm mainly a FFA kind of guy.

Towards the end of the year, we can look forward to a new Medal of Honor release featuring modern warfare, as well as the next intsallment of COD which we hope Treyarch will finally deliver a quality game.

Didn't like MW2 at first, but as u go on ....man its hard to stop. Feels like MW1, just with crazy perks and killstreaks. Team death match and free for all is shit, every one camps hard or have shot guns running around with light weight, commando, and marathon. Maps are great and pretty detailed, never shot a real gun before but I think MW2 have better gun balance, AK on MW1 is ridiculous... Connection with servers is not to bad as long as u have a party going on.

Figured what the hell. I enjoy Bolt play but not 100% of the time. Allowing everything kind of gives a new name to the game, since we've played for so long with Bolts only.

I've been camping the server lately. A few new people are starting to be seen on the server. We've had up to 7 on there before. Being that the server got fired up just a few days ago, its still kind of thin traffic. Figure I'll play it, so will Nebula. Its really not too bad of a game. The maps are nice and aside from the other BS like camping that you find in all games, using all the weapons and tanks can be fun for awhile. Especially blowing up the tanks with satchels.

Well Ant, Look at it this way. No matter what arguments get thrown at me to go and buy MW2, I will not buy it. Like you said, BC2 is less than 60 days away. And the team aspect of the game i quiet like... I loved Battlefield 1942 and its mods yet that was team based...

Not to mention its still $110AU to buy over here. Waste of money in my opinion...

I might be on BC2 too if its better, hell yeah.
