Back Story	The battle for Port Valdez is fought alongside the waterline towards a great oil industrial landscape in the Alaskan mountains. Using basically everything they've got the Russian forces are launching an airborne assault to knock out the oil industries in the area. In their arsenal there are Main Battle Tanks as well as fast-moving Quad Bikes and mobile armored AA. It's a vehicle focused battle, but with plenty of infantry combat.

Thanks for posting the information. I think I've read this elsewhere and am I understanding correctly that there will be only ONE map to play in the PC beta?

Yeah only one map, ps3 beta had only 1 map as well if memory serves right, so yeah guys, get to pre-ordering your copy now!.

Yeah, looks sweet. Sure wish they'd offer FFA in it.

Not sure if FFA would work, after watching a video about one of the devs talking about the spawn system, it seems to work like this..........

You can pick your spawn, either at your Base, or at one of your teammates, which is just as it sounds, you spawn right on them, also the killcam doesn't actually give away your killer, but just shows who/where they are for a brief second.

And remember guys, if you snipe, lead your shots in this game .

That was one th9ing that that really irritated me about the BF2 game. Every time you died, which was a lot in my case, you'd spawn back at the base and often the fight would be on the other side of the map.

But thats ok though cause all the vehicles respawn at the main base...

downloading the beta now from steam, but bummer have to go to work

MP Demo for the 360 came today, had to put down Mass Effect 2 to play it (ALL OF YOU SHOULD BUY ME2!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I like it more then MW2 (minus the fucking idiots I get on my, same as when I play MW2, too fucking stupid to cap/arm a bomb), had a nice little 5 kills in 10 second thing in a small room with a bomb, 4 of which were a knife, gave me a smile on my face . Dunno if you guys are gonna have the same map as we do, we have this huge snow/port mapish.

Btw do not use the shotgun when you play the demo/beta enough with the Assault class, thing sucks to hell.

Aww Shek... Boohoo. lol jk mate. You do always find something you don't like about a game though...

I will soon hopefully. Maybe Tuesday? I dunno.

YEP SAME MAP ON PC

so far beta has:
heaps of game disconnects
lag
sniper rifle not accurate
TANK WHORES aplenty
cant sort servers when looking by name or latency
high latency
positives.. i'll wait til they fix these

Sniper seems find with me, where are you aiming on their body? Remember the bullet drops in this game so you'll have to aim a bit higher to get a kill (I swear if you don't get a headshot you almost never get a kill ).

And I blame IW/Trey for the whole "everytime I touch a game now, I find something I hate".

update, played today, no lag,no disconnects, lots of servers to pick from, still tank whores, guns arent as powerful or accurate as the cod guns. a single game can take like an hour to get through depending on the team skill balance

Regarding the weakness of the weapons, I'm imagine/hope there will be a HC mode that can quickly clear that issue up. It is a beta one something we need to remember.

yeak i think when the other maps and modes come out it should make a difference. if you join a squad you can spawn on them. if your smart you get 1 guy undercover near a target and just keep spawning off them

This, me and a friend do this a lot and we just murder them in their spawn, more so the stupid snipers that keep running to the same spot, we repeat for the heli as well, can rank up some good kills if you have a good pilot and gunner. (I'm zee gunnerz).

For me, the only weapons I hate are the engineer's, then again, engineer is just for tank control/repair mainly. The XM8 (something like that, 2nd assault rifle), you unlock kicks ass.
