Call of Duty Black Ops, WILL HAVE DEDICATED SERVERS FOR PC!

It has been confirmed today that the next installment in the Call Of
Duty series named Black OPS will have the ability for users to create
their own dedicated servers for the PC.

When Modern Warfare 2 was release the ability to create dedicated
servers for the PC was removed and caused up-raw within the PC gaming
community.

While Modern Warfare 2 was developed by Infinity Ward, the next Call
of Duty, CoD: Black Ops, is being developed by Activision’s “B” CoD
team, Treyarch, and will now definitely feature dedicated servers.


In a recent interview Treyarch head Mark Lamia said:

I think dedicated servers are excellent. I don’t see any reason
not to see them unless… well, I just don’t see any reason not to. It
seems people like them and we’re excited about what we’re doing right
now. [...] We do work very hard to reconcile the desire to manipulate
and modify those dedicated servers with offering them the persistent
experience and benefits that the console system provides. We’re working
very hard to marry those two things, so people can run dedicated servers
and also participate in the communal experience the console players get
to have, given they’re all on first-party servers.

All this was confirmed today, I watch a video the other day about some player was discussing things Trey should do for their next game, and they fucking answered every question the guy asked, when MW2 came out, their CM Robert Bowling (I want to kill this fucking idiot), said if people have problems or questions, to ask on his twitter, and people do, but he only says shit about how much of the DLC was dowloaded, "oh hay that was me you were playing with". The fact that Treyarch actually took the time to watch a video, then answer his questions, shows they are 110% about Black Ops and want it to be a huge success.

Unlike IW which I am fucking glad bitches be losing jobs/company/etc.

Yeah, when I was pasting it I had to correct a few words, not sure if I got them all, maybe he was happy that hes getting servers.

Console wise for me though, Trey said they were going to improve matchmaking to where if we join a match thats halfway done, it'll give us the option if we want to join or not. (You do not want to see my W/L ratio as the majority of my loses are from joining a match just to see the final killcam as I join the losing team, and those 10 seconds of nothing count as a lose).

i dont look at w/l as so many peeps swap just to be on a winning side. I personally like to stick with the team i first join up to. if they suck it makes me look good as im usually at the top, if their good even better as im usually up there too. i look at my k/d , so as long as its better than 1/1 im cool with that.. i hear minesweeper on pc is a good game .. aah sarcasm

Great news! Thanks for digging that up. Thats one big question answered on this game. There is actually a future for it for the PC community. Looking forward to those graphics. I can't imagine they would be any worse than World at War, which has the best graphics I've ever seen. Never played Crysis.
